The following data has been obtained from a comparison of cost of living indeces (COLI) across Pennsylvania's 67 counties. The study uses cost of living data from 1997. The six subcategories from which the below COLI numbers were computed are as follows: Groceries, Housing, Utilities, Transportation, Health Care, and Miscellaneous. The average COLI for Pennsylvania in 1997 was 101.5.
